Birds of Paradise

My favorite flower is a carnation, as I’ve told you all before, but as far as flowers that have caught me unawares by their uniqueness and beauty when first seeing them, Birds of Paradise has to be the winner!! And I’ve been seeing them wrong, btw, I thought the bloom was their head and face, when it’s actually the whole bird in flight 😅 Anyone else?!
